We live just down the street so we stop in for brunch a couple times a month. We've been there 3 times so far and only had to wait for a table once, and it was a 10 minute wait. We usually visit around 10am on a Saturday or Sunday.
It's a small place so there's just one server working, and she's run off her feet so the manager does the food running and helps her bus tables. Sometimes it's hard to get the server's attention if you need something, so you have to be a bit patient.
The food sometimes doesn't arrive all at the same time, but other than that we have no complaints. The food has been consistently prepared and good each time and they keep your coffee topped up well.
If they took credit card payments and were a bit more organized I'd give them a 5 star rating. -

I went to the Hazel's diner location on Mount Pleasant for lunch on Monday. The restaurant was not very crowded. The restaurant wasn't very clean since there were dirty dishes on the tables. But there was only one waitress who was busy.
I ordered the eggs Florentine. The food was okay but kind of bland. I couldn't really taste all the ingredients in the dish. The potatoes were kind of burnt.
Would I go back? Maybe to try other dishes. -

I went here for breakfast with my family (hubby and kids 1yr and 3yrs) and two other couples. It was a great time. We got there for 9:30 and got a table immediately. They were able to provide us with a high chair and were very accomodating. The food came quickly. It was very tasty. Even my kids polished their plates. Our waitress was very nice and very personable. The only caution is they only take debit or cash so be sure to have one or the other. Also lots of street parking and it was free on the weekend so that is a plus.
We had a great time there and was so happy its kid friendly. Will definetly be going back. -

Nothing spectacular about the hollandaise & omelette which was over done. Very reproducible at home. Service was above average, friendly & attentive but I was the only customer on a late Sunday afternoon. I would rather go out of my way to eat at Under the Table than here. Food is not special enough to keep me coming back. -

A fantastic neighbourhood diner with delicious food and great service. The vibe is warm and inviting, and the smell of food being prepared in the kitchen was tantalizing. I ordered the Eggs Natasha, and thoroughly enjoyed the smoked salmon. Overall, a great place at reasonable prices.
